The hotel boasts a stunning 16th-century building set in the picturesque Wye Valley, with beautifully manicured gardens perfect for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, bright, and equipped with comfortable beds, making it a cozy retreat after a day of exploration.
Noise from adjoining rooms and events can be an issue, with thin walls making it hard to escape sounds of footsteps and bathroom use. The breakfast price felt too steep for the offerings, which lacked good quality ingredients, and the limited dinner menu might frustrate longer stays. Some rooms may have maintenance issues, like inadequate bathroom water control, which could detract from the overall experience, especially if you're expecting more attention to cleanliness in the rooms.

this place has so much character, love the huge gardens and the staff were really friendly and helpful. the room was comfy too! the breakfast had loads of options, something for everyone, and the location is perfect for exploring the wye valley. it's also super easy to find from the main road, so that was great!
Had a couple of issues with the heater in the room. it was way too hot on arrival and hard to cool down. also, dinner was kinda disappointing, some meals weren't up to par and took too long to come out.

I stayed in a Compact Double Room and it was super cozy. The bed was really comfy with great pillow options. The room was clean and had a nice vibe. It came with a lovely garden view. Just a tiny issue with the floorboards being a bit creaky, but it added to the charm. it felt like a nice, historic getaway.
